Outpost Kaloki X (360): COMPLETED!

I completed scenario 14 with just one minute to spare. Hurrah! That turned out to be the last scenario in the Adventure Story, and so I got the completely hatstand end of game sequence, and then it was all over. Well, all over except for the other scenarios, of course. I tried the Survival scenario, and got a Silver time of 14:36. I’m betting a Gold time was 15:00. That’d be about right. I then had a go on a …

Outpost Kaloki X (360)

Ripped through a few more levels today, reaching level 14 (which I’ve now found out is the final level). None of them seemed that difficult, although Level 11 was completed with just seconds to spare. Level 14 is a nightmare, however. You have to build a Jewel Exchange and a Dance Club, both of which are easy to do. However, you then need to make $50,000, which just doesn’t seem possible in the given time. I managed to get to …

Outpost Kaloki X (360)

Completed levels 9 and 10 this evening, without any problems. Yeah, so I’m only get Bronze times, but it’s waaaay to hard to go for golds. Besides, apparently theres a bug in the game making it impossible to get all of the golds (and therefore all of the game’s achievements), so it’s not worth trying.

Aces. I managed to complete Level 7 easily this time (well, I had about 15 seconds remaining, but still…), and then went on and completed Level 8 first attempt, without any real problems. That unlocked me an achievement, meaning I’ve managed about 100 gamerpoints today. Excelcior!

Outpost Kaloki X (360)

Hurrah! I managed to complete Scenario 6! It seems the trick is to sell off some of the “lesser” units once you’ve built the more expensive units that supercede them. That means you still get money coming in, but don’t have to keep forking out for MORE POWAR. I also found you can sort of “overclock” the power sources, and squeeze a bit more juice out of them. However, Scenario 7 was a bit difficult too. I almost managed it, …

Outpost Kaloki X (360)

Just a quick go on this while I waited for the other game I’m going to play today was downloading. I’m on Scenario 6 at the moment, and really can’t do it at all. I either run out of power, or run out of money. Make more power sources, and you increase operating costs and so your money goes down each turn. However, make more money-making units, and you run short on power. Hmmm.

Outpost Kaloki X (360)

I know I have ten billion new games that arrived this week, and I also know Street Fighter II is being released on XBLA tomorrow, but I still decided to unlock the full version of this. And I love it. I can’t believe I’ve had access to it for months now, and haven’t even given it a try. It is written by Ninjabee, who also did Cloning Clyde, which is one of my reasons for buying it. Anyway. I’ve done …

Assorted Xbox Live Arcade Games (360)

Played a few of them, but not for very long each, so I’m listing them all together. Firstly, I played Uno online for a few rounds, and almost won one of the rounds when someone joined and instantly won the entire round with 341 points on a single hand. Gah. Then I played Marble Blast Ultra, which looks especially nice in HD and lets you see a lot more of the play area as a result. Got par times for …

Assorted Demo Games (360)

Played a few demo games this afternoon, as I’ve been downloading a few recently. They’re all the trial versions of Xbox Live Arcade titles. Robotron 2084: One of the many XBLA games that is similar to Geometry Wars. Could only play for a few minutes before the demo limit ran out, but it seems nice enough. Smash TV: Essentially the same game as the one above. Sort of. Again, there was a limit, but I got through about half of …
